HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language. Hyper Text means that the text we are seeing in the page contains links in it, if we will click on it we will move to other text or pages. Markup Language means that this language make pages for the viewers more attractive and dynamic.
HTML is used to design web pages using markup language. It means that this language that the Text is written between the HTML tags to define the structure of web pages. This language is used to create text notes for the computer so that browser (Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge etc) can under the language to manipulate text , images and other content to display as required by the user.
HTML was first created by Tim Berners-Lee in 1991. HTML 1.0 was first version of HTML but the first standard version HTML 2.0 was published in 1999. Until now there are different standards versions (HTML 1.0, HTML 2.0, HTML 3.2, HTML 4.01, XHTML and HTML 5) are developed and launched . HTML5 is the latest version of HTML developed and launched in 2014.
